If you have questions about what the Stanley numbers are, you can
look the planes up on Blood&Gore:

Sometimes, emails to/from me are vectored to some cyber black
hole, never reaching their destination. I answer all emails, so if
you haven't heard from me, your/my email is likely having high tea
in said black hole, never to be heard from, so please try again.

If there is anything in particular that you're after, do ping me
as there is a lot of stuff here that isn't on the list; the list
just represents a snapshot of the previous month's haul with none
of the stuff having appeared on a previous list. I like to keep
things fresh here.

Please email me prior to sending money so that you can be sure
the item is still up for grabs. Also, prices do not include shipping,
which is the amount that it takes to go from me to you via the US
Post Office.

This list goes out to many people, normally on the first Monday
of the month (unless otherwise noted above). So, if you see something
you want, it's the quickest finger on the trigger that wins the duel.

Some folks become upset that they miss out on a tool. I wish I had
lots of this stuff many times over so I can satisfy the demand, but
that is normally not the case. Some of it does have duplicates here,
and if so, I will state that in my reply to you.

Also, due to the nature of selling over the wires, tools are sold
on a first come, first serve basis. The first person to say "I'll
take it", gets it. I have to operate this way as some will take a
few days to get back to me with their interest in a particular item,
and it's unfair to keep others waiting who are willing to buy the
item immediately.

I reserve the right to correct typographical errors after the list
goes out. I rarely make them, but when I do they can be major ones.

If you're the kind of person who puts a straightedge to the sole of
a #40, to check it for flatness, or who tosses a plane on a scale to
weigh it against what it states in the Stanley catalogs, you'll need
to take your business elsewhere. I'll wish you luck finding perfection
in something that was never made, nor intended to be, perfect. You guys
know who you are, and it's best for both of us that our paths not cross.

Lastly, and I don't like to mention this, but if you tell me that
money is on the way for something you want, and you never make good
on it, we won't be doing business in the future. It's unfair, actually
downright discourteous, to others who want the same thing, and I tell
them it's sold. Pull this on me, and you're exorcised from the list.
Sorry, but I don't tolerate this behavior well at all.

Don't forget the cool new tools that I'm making - a jazzy layout
knife being used by professionals (made the cover of Feb.1998 FWW!),
a detachable block plane handle designed to fit your standard pitch
block planes, a killer Robinson's Improved Patent sliding bevel, a
tilting jaw for your Emmert's vise, and the finest bench plane in
production today, the Bed Rock #601. You can see it all at:

https://supertool.com/newtools.htm

Remember, you don't have to be a connoisseur (did I spell that
correctly) to shop here. You can be a wirehead, a metalhead, a zipper-
head, a propellerhead, a deadhead, a cokehead, or even a knuckle
dragging oaf, just like me, to shop here, as long as your dinero is
green.

Thanks for shopping, and remember that no letters or words were
injured when writing this list...

FEATURED TOOL OF THE MONTH
******** **** ** *** *****

FT1 If the junior wingman were here, rather than in college
studying physics and calculus, he'd be holding this
very rare Blandin's Patent #3 size smoothing plane;
patented in 1867 by Benjamin Blandin of Charleston, MA,
Blandin had to find a manufacturer desperate for business
to produce it, that firm was A.W.Crossman of West Warren,
MA, a maker of fine quality chisels and edge tools not
too far from where this list originates; that Blandin
was able to receive a patent for this design is odd as
the plane does what the vertical post planes made by
Leonard Bailey do, namely use an adjusting nut, threaded
on a vertical rod, to rock the 'frog' up and down, which
results in the iron being set finer or coarser; and, he
did it at the same time Bailey was offering his version
of the mechanism; all Blandin planes are very difficult
to find, no two are alike, it seems that they were
custom made when ordered; this one has all original parts,
the finish is a creme color, which may have put off
potential buyers as who wants a creme colored plane; the
slender tote shows a split, the knob has a check, given
those, the plane is in very nice condition for its kind
as Blandin's planes are quite fragile; this one has been
in the Inner Sanctum for years, with just enough dust to
give it proper collector cred:

chipping on the leading edge, it can be left as is or ground

https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t72.jpg $95.00
ST60 #1 smoothing plane; a very clean example that dates to ca.
1930, most of the decal is still on the tote; no damage,
the plane is an enigma as the lever cap is plain, not em-
bossed, the patina matches the rest of the plane, which
suggests it's been on the plane since day one; the knob is
also a mystery as the nut is nickel plated, which is what
is found on the #98/#99 pair, the knob itself is the perfect
size for this plane during the era it was made, and like the
lever cap, it's been with the plane a very long time; top

WP5 Jo.Fuller/Providence yankee plough; in a fine state of
preservation, with none of the common damage found on
these 224+ year old planes, it was kept this way probably
due to the fact that the wedge parted company long ago
(a poor later one was recently made); 10" long, yellow
birch, no cracks to the arms, fence is solid, no splitting
of the body at the heel, lobes on thumb screws all present,
a couple of unavoidable small chips on the right side of
the arm mortices; owner initials stamped in toe, fortunately
no on the maker's mark; a very nice example worth putting
a proper wedge in; top:

WP17 Even number hollow and round set by Bensen&Crannell; barely
used, always together, and in fine worker shape; standard
sizes of 2 through 18, original surface, several have minor
areas of roughness that looks like a saw (or small rodent)

https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t66.jpg $95.00
WP24 #9 hollow and round pair by Moseley; skewed irons that

made of beech, clear stamp, owner initials, it's a nice ex-

it's from the earlier Pomeroy's working period made during
the American Revolution, he answered the call for during
the Lexington dust-up; in solid as found condition, the
steel skate is riveted to the stock, it survived over 225
years without an owner whack his name in it; a shim was
added and removed long ago, some old nail holes offer this
clue, the face of the wedge finial shows very minor loss;
a nice example that was found in Northampton, it never
traveled far in its life; stamp is a bit weak on its left
side; bottom:

MS130 Three T.H.Witherby socket mortice chisels; made like the
wider framing chisels, with extra thick cross-section,
they are in solid worker shape with normal knocks and
dings, they can be sharpened and used as is; widths of
3/8" (no Witherby name, but has same CAST STEEL and
WARRANTED like the others do, it was found with them),
1/2", and 5/8"; with very good turned replaced handles,
longest steel measurement is 11 1/2"; an uncommon pattern;
these were found in the same chest as the hollow and
round half-set above; top three:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t85.jpg $190.00
MS131 Perfect Handle 10" (edge length) drawknife; earlier pro-
duction as it has patent applied for stamped in the spine;
fine worker shape, riveted handles firmly attached, it's
one of the best designs made for tools that require a
firm grip, Perfect Handle perfected it perfectly and
offered and range of tools with the same kind of grips;
middle:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t85.jpg $90.00
MS132 Another Perfect Handle drawknife, this one with an 8", it
saw a bit more use than the previous, it's still in sound
worker condition after a sharpening; bottom:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t85.jpg $90.00
MS133 Lie-Nielsen #66 beader; complete, with original box (top
is soiled), looks unused, cutters are in the bottom of
the box; right:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t86.jpg $140.00
MS134 Eight Pfeil Swiss Made carving chisels; with spots of
rust and tarnish, overall bright surfaces, they look to
be unused; close-up of handles shows patterns, the 7th
was found after the photo was taken, it's 3/35 gouge that
has considerably more rust on it, it will need a good
scrubbing; the eighth found after the previous, it's
the cleanest of the batch and is a 1 3/8" 3/35, it also
is not photographed; top:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t88.jpg
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t88a.jpg $155.00
MS135 Birmingham Plane Mfg. Co. adjustable chamfer shave; an
uncommon model especially with both adjustable guides
attached; in need of a clean, it's really a shame how
the hoarder 'stored' this as it was in mint condition
when I sold it to him 20 years ago; still will clean to
be a respectable example, sometimes beggars can't be
choosers; middle:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t88.jpg $125.00
MS136 Uncommon No.41 Bailey Victor spoke shave; made after
Bailey left Stanley over a royalty dispute, Bailey moved
to Hartford, CT to set up shop and produce an entirely
new line of tools, including this odd shave, which failed
perfectly in the tool market despite the fair success his
bench planes achieved; a homely thing, but quite difficult
to find, Bailey must have felt compelled to offer this,
and another design, shave since he offered a broad line
when he came up with his original plane designs; all
original parts, no damage, and one only for the collectors;
bottom:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t88.jpg $285.00
MS137 G.W.Weston adjustable belting plane; another one in fine
shape that I sold the hoarder, it suffered the same
neglect many other tools on this list did, misery always
loves company no matter what it is; all original parts,
with rust that will clean, it's a well made tool that
has a bevel up iron that's set with an adjusting nut that
engages a fork at the heel of the iron; made in Nashua, NH
during the third quarter of the 19th century, Weston took
his show on the road to Maine (perhaps where such a rusty
tool would be more appreciated in the future) and operated
in Yarmouth for another ten years; an uncommon tool; top
left; top left:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t89.jpg $190.00
MS138 Kansas City Tool Co. type 3 Windsor Beader; the most
complex of the three designs, each unique, this one is
the best working example of the three and was offered
some 20 years ago; well made, this one is unused, though
shows tarnish on the bronze; no longer in production; top
right:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t89.jpg $285.00
MS139 Veritas (Lee Valley) Invisible Nailing Kit; despite it
being visible (at least I can see it, maybe you can't),
this one was never used and is in its original packaging;
included is a chisel in blind nailing 'plane', it's used
to lift a shaving to accept a nail and then the shaving
glued back in place to make it, er, invisible; the glue
oozed from the bottle as it sat invisible to the buyer,
regardless, it's in sound worker shape and no longer
made, it's still visible on the Lee Valley web page so
it's really not invisible is it; bottom:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t89.jpg $40.00
MS140 Gunmetal miter plane with dovetailed steel sole; a well
made plane with no maker's mark, the two piece sole makes
for a very fine mouth where the 2" wide Howarth iron fits;
rosewood stuffing and wedge, the latter has the sweet aroma
of Brazilian rosewood; 9 1/2" long, in fine worker shape,
the cheeks show some banging where an owner must have
rapped it to align the iron; top left:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t90.jpg $390.00
MS141 Holmes 1856 patent spoke shave; slightly round sole, this
is a very well made and clever tool for its era, a wing
nut firmly grips the cutter while in use, a turn and it
releases it for adjustment/honing; in fine shape, with
plenty of life left in it, it can be honed and used as
is to work curved surfaces; top right:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t90.jpg $110.00
MS142 Iron 3/8" double bead shave; made in the manner of Preston,
there are no markings on the casting, one cutter is stamped,
the rust makes it difficult to read; cuts a bead left and
right, this is another tool that the hoarder allowed to
devolve into it feral state, a clean will domesticate it
enough to make a sound worker; bottom:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t90.jpg $75.00
MS143 Veritas pair of hold downs (holdfasts); despite the
invisible nailing kit being visible, but unavailable, on
the web page, these two are visible and available on the
web page, but one of them is in a state that probably
should be invisible as it was opened and left to the
environmental ravages that prey upon tools, the other is
new old stock and in the original packages; clearly, it's
visible which is which in the photo, what's not visible
is the price for them; bottom two:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t91.jpg $115.00
MS144 Extra clean matching set of Irwin twist augers in their
original hinged wooden case; from the hoarder's tool
emporium, how this one managed to escape the treatment
the other tools received shall remain a mystery forever;
1/4" to 1" diameters in 1/16" increments, the clips to
secure the augers to the case have their screws stripped,
most are present, they can be reinserted after plugging
the stripped holes; a very nice set; left:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t92.jpg $130.00
MS145 Some more bench tools, a pair of unused 4 3/8" bench
dogs by Veritas and a pair (only one photographed)
holdfasts by Woodcraft; just add bench and you're on
your way to master cabinetmaker status; right pile:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t92.jpg $60.00
MS146 Group of eleven T-augers; a good working group all with
their turned wooden handles, some longer than others for
extra deep boring, diameters from 1/2" to 1 7/8"", with
some duplicates; an auger handle (not photo'd) is tossed
in with the pile:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t93.jpg $135.00
MS147 Earlier machinist's chest by C.E.Jennings; made ca.1890,
this design was the standard prior to Gerstner capturing
the market; still with most of the label on the inside
of the lift lid, it's fit with four graduated drawers
which can't be pulled open when the lid is down; in solid
 as found condition, with normal grunge, it's 29" across;

https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t94b.jpg https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t94c.jpg $190.00
MS148 All metal clapboard slick; a single forging with a 3 3/4"
wide edge, the end has a closed grip for pushing it; used
to chamfer the ends of clapboards so that overlap, rather
than butt, each other for a more weatherproof joint, it
can also be used for general slick work; normal condition
for a mid-1800's tools, 21" long, the back will want to be
polished if you plan to use it; top:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t95.jpg $110.00
MS149 Disston&Sons saw vise; the ball and socket model so that
the jaws can be oriented nearly any position you choose,
it's one of the best designs, a lever claps the blade
between the jaws; free of damage, normal as found con-
dition, a fine worker; bottom:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t95.jpg $60.00
MS150 Millers Falls boring machine; a mechanical marvel for
cutting mortices in larger framed work, it's the one that
most framers want; as found, in normal grungy condition
from sitting idle, I see one square head screw with its
head snapped off, the stop is present, everything turns
as it should; I prefer a local pick-up with this one, but
will ship if need be; a worker:

MS151 Frame saw for resawing wood; structurally sound, old
blade, looks to be first half of 19th century, 22" long;
one end is longer than the other so that it can be gripped
better:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t97.jpg $110.00
MS152 No.15 1/2 Langdon miter box with original saw; a difficult
to find tool, it's perfect for smaller work, especially
moldings; with remnants of Millers Falls label on the
back, it's right out of a working shop just outside of
Boston, it's never left Massachusetts; original Disston
saw, bed retains the original smaltz paint (a paint with
crushed sand/glass in it), 12" long bed, the small stop
in the post behind the box is missing, that's easy to
make; a fine worker:

https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t98a.jpg $455.00
MS153 Smaller gutter adze with short handle for one hand use;
can be used for shaping or for working gutters, it looks
unused, most black finish remains, grime and superficial
grunge formed from sitting idle; 2 3/4" across the cutting
edge; an odd size; top:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t99.jpg $135.00
MS154 Side axe for removing a lot of waste prior to using the
finer tools; made for us lefties (yay!), 4 1/4" cutting
edge, some black finish loss and superficial rust, all
it needs is a clean and a sharpening; middle:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t99.jpg $55.00
MS155 Larger shears; 15 1/2" from end to end, as found, great
quality, no maker mark, but probably one of the many firms
making them in Newark, NJ, tight hinge; loads of mass,
once sharpened all you do is slide it across whatever needs
to be cut; bottom:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t99.jpg $90.00
MS156 Double handle open scorp; good age, as found, 3 1/2" across
the cutting edge, the forging is designed so that the
fingers are outside the cutting edge; perfect for hollowing,
in need of a clean, plenty of life left to it; top left:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t100.jpg $90.00
MS157 Mephisto Armor Cutter No.102 in the original box; unused,
a very well made tool, Mephisto was a brand name used by
W.A.Ives of Bridgeport, CT, somewhere along the line the
name moved to Hudson, NY, which is what's on the box's
label; if, when jousting, the opponent is prone to hand
to hand combat, you need this to open him up to deliver
the fatal blow; top right:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t100.jpg $65.00
MS158 Clean Bemis&Call saw sew; a pliers style tool, very well
made and with clean lines, it's a sound design that works,
but never caught on with the saw setters union for who
knows what reason; bottom:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t100.jpg $55.00
MS159 Goodell-Pratt No.10 Turret Head Tool Set in its original
box; a very uncommon tool that looks unused, the handle
stores eight drill points (the label calls them tools)
that are accessible by turning the cap to let one slip
out; box is structurally fine, with some minor paper loss
on the top label; this is a very uncommon tools, the few
I've had have always been in the GP tool kits and were in
ratty condition; top left:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t101.jpg $165.00
MS160 Sargent No.5206 larger all steel block plane; with all

MS165 Earlier brass frame eggbeater drill; as found and offered
for restoration, a chunk of the mushroom head split off,
it's present and needs to be glued; turned metal handles,
this is much nicer quality than normally found, it was
found in a basement with the machinist tools offered as
the next item and with the L.L.Davis inclinometer listed
below, the empty tool chest in the same basement will be
offered next month; top left:

MS166 Group of owner made machinist tools; square is stamped
J.A.Lang/1873, along with the Masonic square and compass,
many of the other tools also have his name, the L.L.Davis
inclinometer has his name neatly engraved on the backside,
his tool chest will be offered next month; a variety of
stuff, made during the infancy of precision work when
manufactured tools were few and far between, ignoring their
cost, there's a good assortment of what a machinist used
in the years after the Civil War; found in a basement just
outside of Boston, expected grunge and superficial rust
are present; right pile:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t103.jpg $185.00
MS167 12" Starrett combination square with three heads; original
scribe and vial, some minor superficial rust spots will
easily clean, always together, pre-WWII manufacture, a

of the handle; as found, cap is present, normal grunge from
sitting, typical corner chip on top jaw; bottom right:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t104.jpg $145.00
MS169 Unique bronze frame hacksaw with three position handle;
resembles a similar hacksaw but differs greatly in that
the turned mahogany (?) handle can be pivoted left and
right to be locked in one of three positions; an odd
tensioning assembly, the end of the blade nearest the
handle is pinned to a block that slides upward (at an
angle) on the frame; very well made, no identifying marks
that I can spot; top:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t105.jpg $145.00
MS170 Sizing tool on a Buck Bros. parting chisel; manufactured,
but no one knows by which firm, it's the larger size that
slide along the 1/4" wide chisel; each in fine shape, no
damage, dates to ca.1900, and is a handy tool for making
repeated diameters on a lathe; middle:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t105.jpg $90.00   MS171 18" graduated hook rule engraved with owner name and, oddly,
a hatchet; looks to be made of German silver, it's well
done, the owner's name is Jack Rose, and coincidentally, an
engraved rose is between his two names, to the left is an
axe/hatchet that has "TOTE" stamped in it, perhaps Mr.Rose
was an avid prohibitionist; dunno if a rose is a rose by
any other name or not, you can make that call with this
one; bottom:

either side of the 2 1/8" wide cutter; middle:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t106.jpg $65.00

who invented one of the best sliding bevels ever (and one
I offer as a reproduction), the handle features the same
rosewood inlay detail as that found on the bevels; 10"
blade, an uncommon size for this tool, the St.Johnsbury
Tool Co. logo is clearly stamped at the end of the blade;
normal pitting on the blade, the worst is on the side
opposite the logo, the worst side is photographed; one of
the nicest precision squares made anywhere and anytime;
bottom:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t106.jpg $155.00
MS174 Bronze double face stuffed mallet; these things seem to
show up around me, I suspect they were used by the shoe-
makers as they often have leather faces like this one
does; good mass, the leather needs to be replaced, normal
knocks and dings, a very well made tool; top:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t109.jpg $110.00
MS175 Brass plaque for a Simonds Saw display; 10" long, it was
tacked onto a cabinet or display for a hardware store,
someone thought enough of it to save it but used the back
to repurpose for instructions to use some tool, the stamping
of that left the Simonds side with raised inverse lettering,
you may be able to flatten it again with a smaller hammer
and patience; middle:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t109.jpg $55.00
MS176 Eight smaller brass hammers; specialty tools that were
found together, each has a different head; showing normal
signs of use, some with mushrooming on the face, they are
all usable; the eighth hammer was AWOL when the photo was
taken; top pile:

MS177 L.L.Davis 6" 'mantle clock' inclinometer; found with the
pile of machinist tools, MS169, in a Boston area base-
ment, its owner neatly engraved his name on the back of
brass; as found, it was hanging on a bracket behind some
metal clamps in the corner of a basement; good amount of
japanning and pinstriping, it has a nice patine, vial is
original, pointer fine, it is missing the top screw, an
easy salvage from a damaged one; it's original owner,
J.A.Lang, must have been quite a gifted mechanic given
the tools found in that basement; bottom left:

MS178 Rosewood splint scraper; a very well made tool that
smooths splints by pulling them through this hinged tool
to scrape them to a consistent thickness; nicely turned
handle, a molded detail, and the rosewood set this one
far apart from the usual boring examples, it's in sound
worker shape with normal wear and some stable checks;

a good replacement, though there is a chip under the horn;

MS182 Goodell-Pratt No.225 universal corner brace; one of the
strangest braces ever produced, this well engineered tool
can be contorted to accommodate any restricted area where
a hole must be bored; in better than usual shape, with
good amount of original finish, should you not be able to
find an application where you can use it, you'll have hours
of entertainment ahead twisting and turning it as you ponder
whether pretzels and Rubik's Cube were inspired by it;

MS183 Cast iron and rotating nail caddy by Star Nail Co.; a very
handy tool to store and sort your nails in its eight bowls,
this one in ready to use condition, it has gold detail on
the ridge and base, "1952" is painted in gold on the base,
I think that's probably a bench number, not a year, as the
paint has age wear typical of longer duration; right:

MS184 Clean Victor #20 circular plane; the model Leonard Bailey
invented after leaving Stanley over a royalties dispute,
Bailey's creative mind conjured up a completely different
line of tools than that his first effort; an antique tool
classic, this plane is designed so well, Stanley continued
its production (in cast iron) after they bought Bailey's
line for a second time; a very clean example that saw
little use, with all original parts, it's worthy of a fine
collection of tools; small owner mark on left steel rail,
someone long ago put washers below the medallion screws
to keep the medallions better attached, this 'flaw' is
the one thing Bailey didn't design well as most of the
plane are missing one or both medallions as they become
dislodged easily; top:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t113.jpg $485.00
MS185 The Magic Hone in its original sleeve; a 5" long boxwood
base, with integral handle, carries a 3 3/8" long stone
that's touted (according to the label) as being able to
produce a keen edge immediately on penknives, razors,
surgical instruments (I'd love to be sliced open with
something honed on this especially if spit was the
'lubricant'), and on edge tools of every description;Sm
it further reads it's made of the finest washed emery
flour; probably dates to ca.1880, it's in fine shape
give its age, you won't be honing slicks on this one;
bottom left:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t113.jpg $65.00
MS186 Goodell-Pratt No.231 screw driver set; a pocket tool with

all length; bottom middle:

MS188 Morticing axe; design to chop out mortices quickly, it's
commonly used on fence posts, but in skilled hands can do
framing work; 9 1/2" long head, old handle, cosmetic con-
dition is typical for an axe this old; will make a fine
worker; top:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t114.jpg $85.00
MS189 Pair of new old stock Hart Tool Co. framing hammers; earlier
F25 model, with decals, I believe these are 25oz weapons of
framing wars; one with smooth face, the other with waffle;
check with local authorities if you need a permit to swing
one of these; middle two:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t114.jpg $65.00
MS190 Simonds No.111 42" crosscut saw for bucking logs; in
barely used condition, with etch present, it has the
auxiliary handle that can be position at the end of the
blade for two man use or nearer the handle for one man
use; in ready to use condition, these big saws are normally
not even in scrap worthy condition or are painted with a
scene of beavers gnawing a tree, they are difficult to find
in this solid usable condition; bottom:
https://supertool.com/forsale/sep/t114.jpg $235.00
MS191 Millers Falls No. 23 bench drill press; a dedicated drill
that clamps onto a bench, the lever drives the bit into
the work while you crank the drive gear; in fine worker
shape, never messed with, small area of drill marks on the
table, this is a very popular tool for finer work, most
examples are broken or missing vital parts; top:

MS192 Roll of unused Norton honing stones; a good pile of them,
all different shapes and materials, it's thought to be a
salesman's sample, there's no reason why you can't use
them, though all are unused; in a faux leather roll, these
are great for molding plane irons or cutters for the #45,
etc.; bottom:

MS193 Record 073 shoulder rabbet plane; with more class than the
